A meticulous count of hundreds of thousands of sheep is presented as the portion for the soldiers who fought. The exact same data is then repeated to describe the second half given to the rest of the people. This raises a natural question: why is there a need for such a long, detailed numerical breakdown for the soldiers' half, when it is obvious that the second half would be exactly identical?

Instead, it reveals a massive, hidden miracle. The precise numbers are recorded to show that from the moment this immense amount of livestock was captured, not a single animal died. Through all the stages of gathering the animals, counting them, dividing them into two equal halves, and separating the required taxes for the priest and the Levites, every single animal survived. The fact that the numbers remained perfectly whole and identical across both halves stands as a testament to the miraculous protection and careful oversight of the spoils throughout the entire process.
