Divine blessing represents an infinite, expanding abundance. At its core, it is defined by constant addition and growth, standing in sharp contrast to a curse, which brings only reduction and lack [אבן עזרא]. Spoken through divine inspiration, this message directly addresses all the groups previously mentioned in the psalm. The declaration functions in two complementary ways: it is a sincere prayer asking God to grant more, while also serving as an absolute prophecy that He will certainly bring this growth to pass [רד״ק].

Practically, this growth takes the form of a natural expansion of the population as the people multiply [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. It also serves as a guarantee of continuous, added favor from God at all times and in every era [מצודת דוד]. The promise ensures that God will grant them children, but the spiritual reality goes much deeper. Rather than the youth merely benefiting as a side effect of their parents' success, God includes the children to receive His blessing directly, standing right alongside their fathers [אלשיך].

This creates a powerful cycle of growing abundance. Initially, the adults multiply greatly, and then the divine favor expands to fully envelop the younger generation [אלשיך]. This dynamic sets a fascinating spiritual movement into motion between the generations. Because the children are automatically elevated by the blessing resting on their parents, God grants the adults an even higher blessing to maintain their unique standing above the youth. Yet, the moment the adults receive this superior blessing, it immediately flows down to their children. To keep the proper order, God then grants the adults an entirely new, even greater blessing. This constant upward movement repeats itself, forging an endless, unbroken chain of infinite blessings [מלבי״ם].
