As the vision of the Temple complex unfolds, the focus shifts from the outer courtyard toward the more sacred inner spaces. The prophet is guided into the inner courtyard, an area identified as the Courtyard of the Israelites, entering through the southern side [מלבי״ם].

When the angel measures this inner southern gate, its dimensions are found to be perfectly identical to those of the outer gates encountered earlier [מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. These specific measurements feature a doorway width of ten cubits and a total gate length of thirteen cubits. This thirteen-cubit length is highly precise, as it corresponds exactly to the thickness of the wall surrounding the Courtyard of the Israelites [מלבי״ם].
