The visionary journey through the Temple complex continues, guiding the prophet to witness a profound reassurance of God's constant presence. Having previously stood before the closed southern gate, he is now moved from his place to the northern side, facing the front of the building. Specifically, he is brought into the area of the Israelites' courtyard [מצודת דוד, מלבי״ם].

The purpose of this relocation becomes immediately clear as a magnificent sight unfolds before him, revealing the glory of God completely filling the Temple. Earlier in the vision, the eastern gate was described as securely shut. This specific detail could easily lead to the troubling assumption that the Divine Presence had abandoned the holy site and would never return. However, the current revelation is meant to completely erase any such doubt. It serves as direct proof to the prophet that God's glory remains firmly resting deep within His sanctuary [מלבי״ם]. Overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of this sight, the prophet falls upon his face in awe.
