Judges 18:10Sefaria

Returning from their scouting mission, a group of spies delivers an urgent and enthusiastic report designed to push their people into action. They paint a picture of an ideal target for conquest, describing a territory that offers a rare combination of complete military vulnerability and extraordinary material wealth, promising a swift and effortless victory.

The spies stress the importance of the upcoming journey. On a basic level, they are simply describing what will happen upon arrival [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. However, their message also serves as a call for immediate action. They urge the people to set out without delay, warning that any hesitation might allow the local inhabitants to discover the plan, arm themselves, and prepare for battle [מלבי״ם]. At the same time, they offer reassurance of a safe journey, promising that the people will travel directly to their destination without facing any conflicts along the way [מצודת דוד].

Upon reaching the territory, the people will find a peaceful population. These locals do not fear conflict and are completely unaccustomed to war [ביאור שטיינזלץ], meaning they will not even attempt to fight back [מלבי״ם].

To remove any lingering doubts, the spies detail both the massive size and the high quality of the region [מלבי״ם]. In terms of space, it is a huge area capable of comfortably holding all the new settlers once God hands the territory over to them The spies speak of God's involvement either as a condition for their success [מצודת ציון] or with absolute certainty, declaring that He has already delivered the land into their hands [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

Beyond its size, the land is exceptional in its resources. It is a place where absolutely nothing is missing [מצודת ציון]. Even though this region lies outside the established borders of the Land of Israel, it is blessed with all the good things found within Israel itself In fact, the territory is so rich that it contains everything found in any other land in the entire world
