Crafting the garments for the priesthood required careful attention to how the different pieces securely connected to one another. As part of this detailed work, the artisans fashioned special connecting rings. They created two additional gold rings, beyond the ones they had already made, and attached them to the two ends of the Breastplate.
To ensure a proper fit, these specific rings were positioned on the edge of the Breastplate that directly faced the Ephod. They were purposely installed so that they pointed inward, allowing the different layers of the clothing to link together neatly.
