The completion of the Tabernacle required presenting all its crafted components to Moses. The sequence in which these pieces were brought forward was not random, nor was it based strictly on their spiritual importance. Instead, the presentation followed a highly practical order, reflecting exactly how the structure would eventually be assembled.

The Ark of the Covenant and its cover held the highest level of holiness among all the sacred objects. Logically, one might expect them to be presented first. Yet, the dividing curtain that separated the Holy from the Holy of Holies was brought forward before them. This deliberate arrangement occurred because Bezalel presented the items according to the step-by-step instructions Moses would soon receive from God for erecting the Tabernacle. Practically, the dividing curtain had to be hung first. Only then could the Ark and its cover be brought inside and placed in their proper location, allowing the curtain to be lowered to shield the Ark from view [העמק דבר].
