The completion of the Tabernacle marks a profound spiritual climax, serving as much more than an architectural achievement. Although only a select group of skilled artisans performed the physical labor, the ultimate construction is attributed to the entire Israelite nation [רש״י, מזרחי, גור אריה, שפתי חכמים, דברי דוד]. The primary approach among commentators is that these craftsmen acted as representatives of the people. The masses, lacking the necessary skills but yearning to participate, brought their donations with eager hearts. God counted their pure intentions and desires as actual deeds, rendering the construction a truly collective achievement [אור החיים, שפתי כהן, אלשיך, מלבי״ם, קאסוטו, משכיל לדוד]. This shared effort reflects a deeper principle of mutual responsibility. Just as no single individual can fulfill all the Commandments, since certain duties are exclusive to priests, men, or women, the Torah can only be realized entirely through the unified connection of the whole nation. It was this mutual completion and love for one another that made the Tabernacle possible [אור החיים].

Driven by an intense love for God and a deep desire for His presence, the people might have been tempted to add their own creative details to the structure. Therefore, it is emphasized that they acted with absolute precision, doing exactly as God commanded, neither adding nor detracting [העמק דבר, ספורנו]. This exact obedience was credited to them as if they had fulfilled the entire Torah, successfully atoning for the sin of the Golden Calf and restoring their high spiritual standing [אור החיים, צרור המור]. Furthermore, the structure of the Tabernacle perfectly parallels the limbs of the human body. By executing God's command so precisely, the Israelites effectively sanctified their own bodies, allowing the Divine Presence to dwell literally within them [שפתי כהן].

Historically, the physical labor concluded on the twenty-fifth of the month of Kislev, yet God instructed the people to wait until the month of Nisan, the birth month of Isaac, to erect the structure. This three-month delay could have easily sparked rumors among the people that the dismantled Tabernacle was flawed. Thus, the testimony that everything was completed exactly as commanded serves to confirm that the work was entirely flawless [אור החיים]. The month of Kislev, having missed out on hosting the original dedication of the Tabernacle, was eventually compensated generations later by God during the dedication of the Temple by the Hasmoneans [ריב״א, שפתי כהן, חזקוני].

Finally, this moment of completion touches upon a fascinating point of Jewish law. A well-known rule dictates that one who is actively engaged in performing a Commandment is exempt from fulfilling other positive Commandments. For the duration of the Tabernacle's construction, the artisans were relieved of their other obligations. The moment the work was finished, they immediately returned to their regular duties, once again becoming fully obligated to perform all of God's Commandments [פרדס יוסף].
