As the construction of the Tabernacle came to a close, the Israelites gathered all the finished items and brought them forward. Among these prepared pieces were the various types of clothing and coverings made specifically for the sacred service [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

A distinct category of these woven materials carried a broad purpose and included two unique types of items [העמק דבר]. First, it referred to the special white garments worn exclusively by the High Priest on the Day of Atonement during his inner service within the Holy of Holies. Second, it included the specific cloths and sheets designed to cover the various vessels of the Tabernacle.

In addition to these specialized pieces, the people brought the regular priestly clothing. These consisted of the sacred garments designated for Aaron as the High Priest, as well as the standard uniforms his sons would wear to perform their priestly duties.
