Various distinct national groups emerged in the ancient world, including the Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. The primary approach among commentators is that these specific groups settled in geographic patterns closely tied to the land of Canaan. While some of these nations built their communities directly within the borders of Canaan, others established their territories just outside of it, residing in the immediately adjacent regions.
