Tracing the earliest generations of humanity requires following a specific, chosen path of descendants. The lineage moving through Enoch, Methuselah, and Lamech documents a carefully defined family tree originating from the first man.

Rather than listing every early human, this historical record is highly selective and focused. It intentionally leaves out other branches of the family, such as Cain and his children. These alternative family lines are omitted because they did not survive, failing to leave behind any lasting continuity for future generations.
