I Chronicles 28:17Sefaria

The blueprint of the Temple vessels handed down to Solomon contained exact specifications for every item. It detailed the types of vessels, the materials they were made from, and the precise weight required for each individual piece [מצודת דוד]. These tools were designed to serve the daily needs of the sacrifices and the Temple service in very specific ways.

Among the items were pronged forks, functioning much like pitchforks, which were used to pierce and lift the sacrificial meat out of the boiling pots There were also basins and cups designed specifically to catch the blood of the sacrifices before it was thrown against the altar These basins were crafted from either polished copper or gold [מלבי״ם].

The plans also included items made entirely of pure gold [מצודת דוד]. The primary approach among commentators identifies some of these golden items as thin tubes or pegs arranged in tiers above the designated table to hold and support the showbread Alternatively, some suggest these were receptacles used specifically for pouring liquid offerings [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

A significant portion of the design focused on specific gold and silver service vessels or cover plates Their unique name is tied to a cleaning action. The priests would wipe the sacrificial blood from their hands or from the slaughtering knife on the rims of these bowls. The root of the word used to describe them means wiping or disinfecting. This same root forms the basis of the concept of atonement, reflecting its fundamental meaning of wiping away and cleaning Just like the other items in the Temple, every single one of these gold and silver bowls was crafted to an exact, predetermined weight
