Constructing the Tabernacle required a careful process of crafting and plating its various structural pieces with gold. First, the large wooden boards were completely covered in gold. Once the main panels were prepared, attention turned to the connecting elements. The rings, which were designed to link the boards together, were crafted entirely out of gold. These rings functioned as specialized holders, creating a hollow space for the long crossbars to pass through. Finally, to complete this golden framework, the crossbars themselves were also covered in a layer of gold [שטיינזלץ].
