Building the walls of the Tabernacle required a precise method to turn loose wooden boards into a strong, unified structure. To achieve this stability, special bars were crafted to bind the individual pieces together.
Each wall of the structure was reinforced with five of these bars. Four of them were positioned on the outside of the boards, set at different heights to provide maximum support. Rather than running the entire length of the wall, these four external bars were divided between the two sides. Two bars were installed on the right side of the wall, and the other two were placed on the left.
By securing the boards in this specific pattern, the four external bars firmly locked the individual pieces into place. This arrangement effectively transformed each side of the Tabernacle into two solid, stable sections, creating a distinct right half and a left half for every wall.
