The construction of the Tabernacle required precise architectural planning, particularly in how its walls and corners were assembled. The western side of the structure is built using a total of eight boards. To support this wall, sixteen silver sockets are placed at the base, providing exactly two sockets beneath each individual board.
From an outside perspective, the western wall actually appears to feature two additional boards. As noted by [ביאור שטיינזלץ], these extra boards do not expand the interior space of the building. Instead, they serve an external structural purpose, designed specifically to fill out and square the corners of the Tabernacle from the outside.
