Micah 2:10Sefaria

The Land of Israel was originally intended to be a peaceful inheritance and a safe haven for its people. However, when a nation's actions become deeply corrupted, the very ground they walk on rejects them. A harsh prophecy of doom announces an unavoidable decree of exile, demanding that the people arise and leave. Their severe sins have transformed their home into a place that can no longer offer them rest. God did not grant the land as a sanctuary for a society that walks in the path of sin, and because of their continuous wrongdoings, it is no longer theirs to claim

The root cause of this expulsion is spiritual and moral defilement. The people's evil actions have so deeply polluted the land that the natural order and reality itself have become entirely distorted

Regarding the exact nature of the impending punishment, the primary approach among commentators is that the consequence of this defilement is severe physical destruction. The polluted land will actively ruin and vomit out its inhabitants This devastation will be incredibly powerful and absolute, leaving no survivors behind [רד״ק, מצודת דוד], and it will bring about an intense, agonizing pain similar to the sudden pangs of childbirth [אבן עזרא, ביאור שטיינזלץ].

A different perspective suggests that the resulting chaos is social rather than purely physical. In this defiled environment, groups of wicked individuals band together. These criminal gangs gather and plot their evil intentions openly and explicitly, acting without any shame or fear [רש״י].

Taking a unique approach, another interpretation connects this downfall to the severe exploitation of vulnerable people. Society has reached such a staggering moral low point that men take married women as financial collateral, specifically with the open and explicit condition of forcing them into prostitution. It is precisely because of this extreme moral rot that God is forced to expel the nation from their land [מלבי״ם].
