יחזקאל, פרק ל״ו, פסוק ט׳

The turning point for the Land of Israel begins with the renewal of its connection to God and His direct oversight. Following a period of destruction, God signals the return of His providence, declaring that He is turning His attention back to the land [מלבי״ם, מצודת דוד]. He is completely ready to act on its behalf to bring about its physical recovery [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This promise of renewed focus is so clear and self-evident that it requires no further explanation [רד״ק].

As a direct result of God renewing His attention, a profound agricultural revival takes place. The soil will be worked once again, plowed and planted just like a normal, thriving farm field. This physical restoration stands in complete contrast to the state of desolation that previously gripped the land [מלבי״ם, מצודת דוד].
