The false prophets are exposed in their entirety, revealing a complete gap between their claim to represent God and the reality that they acted strictly on their own. They had boldly announced a message of peace to those who actively despised God, insisting this message came directly from Him. God completely refutes their claims, making it clear that He never commissioned these individuals to act as His messengers to the people [רד״ק, מלבי״ם, ביאור שטיינזלץ].

Despite having no divine mandate, these individuals moved with sudden speed and a hurried pace [מצודת ציון]. They rushed forward on their own initiative, acting as though they were carrying out a vital mission. They sprinted to deliver to the people words they had entirely invented in God's name [רד״ק, מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ].

The severity of their deception is absolute. Not only did God refuse to send them on a mission, but He never communicated with them at all [מלבי״ם]. Every prediction they offered sprang exclusively from their own minds, without them ever hearing a single word from Him [מצודת דוד].
