ירמיהו, פרק ל״א, פסוק א׳

The promise of a future redemption draws its strength from a deep, historical connection between God and the Israelites. Looking ahead to the ultimate era of redemption, there is a clear assurance of renewed closeness [מצודת דוד]. During this future time, God will actively watch over the Israelites, bring them goodness [מצודת דוד], and firmly establish His covenant with every single tribe [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. In response to this divine care, the entire nation will embrace a deep belief in God and truly become His people [מצודת דוד].

This future bond of protection and salvation is a direct continuation of the kindness God showed the Israelites in the past. Just as He previously led the nation out of Egypt, rescued them from the threat of Pharaoh's sword, protected them from the pursuing forces of Amalek, and guided them to find peace in the wilderness, His ultimate goal remains unchanged. He intends to grant them complete and lasting rest in the Land of Israel [צאינה וראינה].
