It was only when Rachel came forward, recalling the deep compassion she showed toward her sister Leah and her own silence when Leah was taken to the wedding canopy in her place, that God agreed to forgive the Israelites in her merit [צאינה וראינה].

The renewal of the Temple service and the complete physical and spiritual satisfaction of the priests serve as the vital channel through which divine blessing is poured out onto the entire land.
