The fulfillment of God's promises is deeply connected to the physical blessings of the land given to the people of Israel. This rich and fertile inheritance traces all the way back to the original oath God swore to Abraham [צאינה וראינה].

The land is celebrated for its immense agricultural wealth, famously characterized by an abundance of milk and honey. The imagery of this abundance implies a constant dripping and streaming of natural resources [מצודת ציון]. This reflects a physical reality of the highest quality. The livestock graze in pastures so lush that the animals produce an overwhelming amount of milk, which simply drips from them on its own. At the same time, the land's date palms are so exceptionally fertile that sweet honey naturally oozes from the fruit [מצודת דוד].
