Following a desperate, shared prayer for mercy, the heavy silence of the night is broken by a profound revelation. God hears the pleas of Daniel and his companions, choosing to uncover the hidden mystery of the king's dream. Although the men prayed together, the secret is entrusted specifically to Daniel, as his superior spiritual readiness makes him the most worthy recipient [מלבי״ם]. The profound mystery is unveiled to him privately, away from the eyes of others [רש״י].

This communication takes the form of a night vision [מצודת דוד]. Yet, this experience transcends an ordinary dream. It is an elevated spiritual encounter where Daniel clearly sees the image of the great statue representing the empires, along with its full meaning. In that moment, he is given absolute certainty that this is the exact dream that troubled the king [מלבי״ם].

The response to this divine intervention is swift. Upon receiving the vision, Daniel immediately hastens to bless and thank God [יוסף אבן יחיא]. His quick reaction highlights his deep devotion and eagerness to serve God. He does not wait for the comfort of morning to express his gratitude. Instead, he rises in the middle of the night to offer his thanks right away for the kindness God has shown him, serving as a powerful example of moving with speed and purpose to honor God's will [אלשיך].
