A thick cloud filled the house of God, bringing all activity to a sudden halt. The priests found themselves completely unable to continue their regular duties. This overwhelming presence made it impossible for them to even stand and serve. The impact of this event was not limited to a single area; it was felt throughout the entire Temple complex, affecting both the inner sanctuary and the outer courtyard [מצודת דוד].

The glory of God that filled the space was not a separate event occurring alongside the cloud. Rather, the glory of God and the cloud were one and the same [מצודת דוד].
