The ultimate goal of the prayers directed toward the Temple extends far beyond the immediate well-being of the Israelites, carrying a broad universal purpose. When these heartfelt requests are fully answered [ביאור שטיינזלץ], the nations of the world will clearly witness God's wondrous care for His people [מצודת דוד]. They will see firsthand how He provides for every individual's needs and shields them from all harm [צאינה וראינה].
This global awakening happens because of how divine care is revealed. Often, the general course of events determined at the New Year blends in with the natural order, leading the nations to credit natural forces for what happens. However, when people observe a daily, visible, and deeply personal level of divine involvement, they will realize that God is the true authority, guiding and acting in everything [מלבי״ם].
Yet, this worldwide recognition is not guaranteed. For prayers to be answered in the Temple, the people must commit to repentance and good deeds. They are expected to align their hearts with God and follow His commandments. Without this genuine dedication, their prayers will remain unanswered, and the greater mission of revealing God to the entire world will not be achieved [אברבנאל, צאינה וראינה].
