A unique perspective connects this historical trust directly to the Exodus from Egypt and the splitting of the Red Sea. When the Israelites saw Pharaoh's army approaching and cried out for help, their rescue was already fully secured in God's mind. He was simply waiting for them to pray. This dynamic is compared to a king who deliberately sends bandits to frighten a noblewoman, doing so purely to hear her call out to him for protection. The Israelites then proved their profound faith by stepping into the sea until the water reached their noses, acting even before the waves actually parted.
