Psalms 73:7Sefaria

The lives of the wicked are often marked by an immense, almost unnatural level of material abundance. This extreme luxury and endless comfort shape not only their physical appearance but also their moral behavior. The sheer excess they enjoy is so great that it physically alters their faces, serving as a constant, visible display of their pampered lifestyle. One perspective suggests that due to their extreme weight and rich diet, their eyes actually bulge outward, creating a stark contrast to the sunken eyes of the frail and hungry Conversely, other commentators paint the exact opposite picture: their faces become so thick and heavy with fat that their eyes sink inward and are completely covered, making it appear as though they have no eyes at all Taking a different approach, some explain that this description is not about the physical eyes themselves, but rather their overall complexion. Thanks to their life of ease, their appearance is radiant, healthy, and strikingly white

Beyond mere physical traits, this excess reflects a deep moral decay. The physical fat symbolizes their absolute addiction to material pleasures and the constant lust of what they see. From this physical and symbolic center of indulgence [תורה תמימה] bursts forth a torrent of violence, theft, and immorality [אלשיך, מלבי״ם].

This physical overindulgence is matched by a staggering level of success that defies all normal expectations. The desires, plans, and distant hopes of a person's heart are usually vast, yet the primary approach among commentators notes that the wicked achieve wealth and power that overflow far beyond anything they ever hoped for or could even calculate Their reality vastly exceeds what anyone else could possibly picture in their minds [מאירי].

Another perspective connects this boundless success directly to their uncontrollable greed. Normally, a person's heart desires far more than their eyes can actually see. However, for these corrupt individuals, their eyes actively outpace the desires of their hearts. They roam freely, taking and stealing everything in their path, even claiming things they never originally planned to desire. As a result, their sense of entitlement and bloated wealth constantly overflows, spilling outward into every area of their lives
