The animal actively mocks anything meant to cause terror, laughing at threats that would easily frighten a human being [אבן עזרא]. Even when confronted with deeply unsettling sights, it refuses to shrink back [אלשיך], showing no signs of trembling or dread [רש"י, מצודת ציון].

Furthermore, the horse never retreats or flees from combat [אבן עזרא, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. When a drawn sword is raised directly against it, the animal simply continues moving forward without a moment of hesitation [אלשיך].
