I Kings 10:3Sefaria

The encounter between King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba was a profound test of intellect. The queen arrived with complex questions and riddles, intending to challenge the limits of the king's legendary wisdom. He navigated this trial perfectly, providing answers that satisfied every inquiry she brought before him.

The primary approach among commentators is that Solomon successfully solved all of the queen's riddles and addressed her questions in their entirety. Yet, his responses went far beyond simple, surface-level answers. He grasped the ultimate purpose behind her inquiries, explaining the deep, underlying intentions that motivated the riddles she presented [רלב״ג].

Beyond just interpreting her spoken words, Solomon perceived the hidden thoughts within her heart. Guided by wisdom from God, he drew a direct connection between what she said and the silent thoughts that prompted her speech. This ability was akin to a person who successfully solves a puzzle by uncovering its secret backstory. Because he possessed this profound insight into the depths of human thought, nothing remained concealed from him. He understood everything completely and laid out every solution before her without a single exception
