Jeremiah 7:25Sefaria

Throughout the history of the Israelites, from the Exodus from Egypt all the way to the era of Jeremiah, God never stopped trying to guide the people along the right path. Despite a continuous spiritual decline, God persistently sent prophets to warn them. In every generation, there were those who sinned, and in most eras, they even made up the majority of the population. Even as the nation's moral standing steadily worsened, God's dedication to warning them remained constant

This divine guidance was not occasional, but a daily occurrence. God is described as acting early to send His prophets anew every single morning. There is a practical reason for this timing. The essential warnings needed to be delivered in the early hours of the day, catching the people before they left for their work and settled into their daily routines [רד״ק].

Because these daily missions carried direct divine authority, the response of the people held severe consequences. Ignoring the warnings of the prophets was never just a slight against the messengers themselves. Instead, turning away from the prophets was considered an outright rebellion against God Himself. By ignoring them, it was exactly as if the people had directly refused to listen to His own voice
