The human quest for closeness to the Creator requires a dual focus. A person must actively pursue a relationship with God Himself while also seeking out His power. The fundamental call to search for God is an invitation to turn toward Him [ביאור שטיינזלץ] to merit His personal care and direct guidance [רלב״ג].

Understanding the nature of God's strength involves two distinct perspectives. One approach views this strength in a tangible sense, identifying it as a physical reference to the Ark of the Covenant and the Temple [רש״י, רד״ק]. A contrasting viewpoint understands this strength abstractly, seeing it as the pure expression of God's boundless power and capability [מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. Building on this abstract view, this power is specifically recognized as the Divine ability to alter the very laws of nature and reality [רלב״ג].

Achieving this level of Divine care and experiencing His transformative power requires an ongoing, dedicated effort. The highest purpose of human existence is to pursue God's presence constantly, striving for an unbroken and continuous attachment to Him [רלב״ג].
