The promise of divine abundance reaches a new level, shifting from ordinary natural success to a constant, supernatural prosperity. While earlier promises focused on temporary or natural achievements, the focus now turns to a miraculous, ongoing providence that actively maintains this wealth [העמק דבר, ביאור יש״ר, שפתי כהן].

Opinions differ on the exact nature of this divine grant. One perspective suggests it centers on survival. Even if famine or hardship strikes the rest of the world, God will protect the people, ensuring they remain safe and secure [אבן עזרא, הטור הארוך]. Conversely, the primary approach among commentators is that this promise guarantees an overwhelming excess of good. God will provide an abundance far beyond any normal expectation, elevating the people to a state of remarkable success compared to others [ספורנו, בכור שור, ביאור שטיינזלץ, רש ר הירש]. Some merge these ideas, viewing the promise as both a guarantee of survival during dark times and a grant of extraordinary wealth [נתינה לגר]. Furthermore, this blessing is not merely about generating prosperity. It includes God's ongoing protection over the assets themselves, ensuring that crops and livestock do not spoil and that rain falls exactly when needed [רלב״ג].

This promised prosperity is so immense that it flips the normal order of human life. Typically, a person must first secure a livelihood, build a home, and plant a vineyard before starting a family. Yet, the divine promise prioritizes the blessing of children over the success of livestock and agriculture. Because the wealth will be so absolute, there will be no need to worry about preparing basic sustenance in advance. Additionally, a double miracle is embedded in the very nature of the soil. The ground will be rich enough to produce massive crop yields while simultaneously growing premium pasture for livestock. This defies the usual rules of agriculture, where soil ideal for juicy fruits is rarely suited for grazing [פני דוד].

Beyond physical wealth, the promise extends to the gift of time. Every person is allotted a specific number of days to fulfill their purpose. However, God will grant an extension of life beyond this set limit. This extra time is given specifically for the sake of the children, allowing parents to continue guiding and educating the next generation [חתם סופר].

The ultimate purpose of all this goodness is not mere luxury, but spiritual preventative medicine. God provides this stable inheritance and vast wealth to save the people from a life of wandering and poverty. Such hardships could lead to spiritual decay and assimilation among other nations. All of this, however, depends entirely on their adherence to the Commandments [מלבי״ם]. Finally, the absolute peak of this extraordinary abundance can only be realized within the Land of Israel. While blessings experienced outside the land act only as temporary deposits, within the borders of Israel, the divine blessing becomes a permanent, complete, and absolute reality [ביאור יש״ר, שפתי כהן].
